One of (apparently) two people in the world with my name, (the other one is a UK-based Afro Cuban musician, critic, journalist and music promoter, who I’ve never met) I’m a ski bum who somehow ended up being part of a very successful software company (Nimbus).
Apart from my role as part of the exec management, I’m responsible for emerging market operations so I earn quite a few airmiles…
I have 2 children, both born bizarrely on my birthday (one in 2002 the other 2009), none of us planned and all natural births.
Sport has always been a big part of my life having done post-graduate degrees in exercise physiology and been a professional freeride skier, I still ski, sail, run when I have the time.
I’m a very passionate person and that leads me to be be somewhat of a crusader with a tendency to rant!! However I’m usually fairly harmless so don’t let that bother you….
I’ve been brow-beaten (in a nice way!) to start a blog but feel slightly intimidated by the prowess and, particularly how prolific some of my colleagues are (Sourcing Shangri-La, BPM For Real, Making You Think) but let’s see how this goes..

Like your blog, some good insights and ideas. I’ll continue to read, although it is quite a pain having to copy all the text and then paste it to a word doc so I don’t have to strain so hard to read it on that terrible black background – I don’t understand what the inspiration for that was it drives people away.
Hi Marshall, I’m glad you like the content if not the format!! As they say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” however if there is a majority of the the beholders who also find the format difficult to read and as you say drives them away then I’d be happy to change it.
Any others??
